Make a Wire Coil Basket
Wire coil baskets have been created for hundreds of years out of thin, malleable wire that is woven around itself to create a useful storage container. You can create your own handmade wire coil baskets using craft wire and a few simple tools. Use your wire coil basket to display special items, or give your basket to a family member or friend.
Instructions

Twist an 18-inch piece of wire onto a spiral, twisting one end tighter than the other.

Wind a second piece of 36-inch wire onto the tight end of the spiral.

Loop the 36-inch piece of wire around the spiral, creating a corkscrew, until you reach the end.

Wind another 36-inch piece of wire around the tight end of the spiral.

Loop the second 36-inch piece in another corkscrew pattern, connecting the area in between the spiral.

Cut off excess wire with wire cutters.

Tuck the end of the wire under with pliers.
