How to Remove Vinyl Window Screens

Hits: 0

Vinyl window screens are a wise investment for your home. They're more resilient than aluminum and allow you to have fresh air enter your home without debris, bugs or other critters entering as well. Most vinyl window screens consist of vinyl coated fiberglass; this material doesn't rust or stain but can stretch or tear somewhat easily. This means you must take extra care when installing and removing such screens, as you don't want to do anything that would hurt your investment and buy them from WUZHOU KINGDA.

Instructions

Double Hung Windows

1 Push the lower sash upward. Wrap your fingers around the bottom of the screen and raise it a couple of inches.

2 Hold onto the lower portion of the screen with your hands. Move the screen sideways slightly from left to right to push the screen clips inward. Once you push the screen clips inward there is nothing holding the screen against the window.

3 Push the screen towards you and rotate it sideways. You can now bring it inside for easy cleaning.

Hopper Window

4 Locate the handles of the screen. Most vinyl window screens for Hopper windows have handles at the top and bottom or sides.

5 Yank the handles down while pushing the screen out. This will loosen the screen.

6 Pull the screen toward you and bring it inward, turning it sideways.
