Decorate Bathroom Shelves
Many bathrooms don't have a lot of space for storage, so bathroom shelves can be a convenient help in that area. Even bathrooms that do have plenty of storage space can benefit from the installation of shelves as shelves put items you need within easy reach--especially if they are mounted near a sink or in a shower. Don't limit your shelves to just storage. Make them both attractive and functional by decorating them.

Fold up some pretty hand towels, and stack them on one end of the shelf.

Balance the towels by placing a tall incense diffuser on the other end of the shelf. The incense will mask unpleasant odors in your bathroom, and most are very attractive. Or use a scented candle in place of the incense diffuser.

Set a green silk plant in between the towels and incense diffuser. This will add a splash of color and nature to your bathroom. If you have a window in your bathroom and the light reaches the shelf, you can use a real plant.

Add a pretty glass or ceramic bowl full of decorative guest soap to your shelf. Or add a decorative soft soap dispenser. This works well if your shelf is near the sink.

Finish off your decorating by adding a touch of whimsy to your bathroom shelves. Place a bright yellow rubber ducky on top of the stack of towels, or perch a small toy boat in the center of the bowl of hand soaps.
